- The Perak St Andrew’s Society Ram’s Head Snuff Box. Also known as a Snuff Mull. This dates from the 1930’s and was transferred to the Selangor St Andrew’s Society in the late 1970’s / early 1980’s when the Perak Society disbanded and transferred all their silverware and regalia to Selangor. With Scots very well represented in the Plantation and Tin Mining industries Perak had a sizeable Scots contingent for many years. However the tin mining industry collapsed in the early 1980’s and Plantations were aggressively ‘localised’ from the 1970’s on.
